GIRL POWER // Lupsona

Told you guys I had another outfit post in store! I’m eagerly counting down the days until I get to leave for Los Angeles, but until then, I’m still working full time – just like I’ve been doing the whole summer (talk about girl power, huh?). As mentioned in my previous article, I started working straight after my last university exam so I haven’t really had a break in months. On top of that, I’m moving out of my apartment and into a new one in a few days, so after work I’m busy dragging cardboard boxes from one place to the other. Oh so glamourous.

Hello, it’s me. Risen from the dead, you probably think. That is, if anyone still bothers reading this blog. I guess an explanation as to why I’ve been absent for all these months is long overdue. However, as I don’t want to scare you guys away again with too much bla bla bla, I’m gonna mix things up a bit and combine this ‘life update’ post with a few outfit photos I took last week. Because yes, I’m still as obsessed with fashion as I was last time I posted!

Guess who’s still alive (but not so much kicking)! First things first: happy new year everyone! Wow, I can’t believe it’s already 2017… I’m slowly starting to feel old. The fact that I’m currently in my master year studying for my exams doesn’t really make me feel better either. Being fed up with studying for days on end (I’m literally looking like a homeless person with greasy hair, a pair of pyjamas and a messy bun lately), I decided to take a day off to take some outfit pictures.

Fabulous Five // November

Hi y’all! My last month’s favorites include some new trendy eating places I discovered (read: food, lots of food) and accessories (more is more). Yeah… that’s about it. With the Christmas holidays coming up, I’m trying to save some money for presents and I’m planning on traveling to the US next year, so I’m forcing myself to cut back on buying too much clothes for a while (Seriously though, who am I kidding? I spent 100 euros online last week ordering new boots and a glittery shirt…). Anyway, let’s take a look!

 

Sweater Weather // ELLEME x DressLily

Outfit posts are my favorite kind of articles to write, so I really made an effort last week to go outside and shoot a few pictures. The Belgian weather has finally calmed down a bit after weeks full of rain (not kidding, I can’t even count the number of times anymore I arrived soaking wet at university), and the past few days have been cold but sunny. Perfect weather to get all snuggled up in the biggest sweater you own and take a walk around the city.

Fabulous Five // October

I know, I know, this article is long overdue since we’re almost halfway through November and yet here I am talking about my October favorites. I normally would’ve had this up by the 2nd of November, but because I was down with a cold back then and I had an exam to prepare for last week, I only found some time to write this now. Being a perfectionist, I’m far from happy with this article… Simply for the fact that I didn’t have time to take decent photos. On top of that, I’ve been trying to save some money the past months so I haven’t really bought any cool or exciting things. But since I couldn’t wait any longer (uploading an October favorites post in December would’ve been a bit too ridiculous),  I just decided to go for it.

I have a confession to make. University is being a huge pain in the ass lately (all I do is sleep, eat, study – repeat), so I haven’t found the time to shoot an outfit or to update you on some new beauty/skin care products I have tested (which I will be doing during one of these weeks… so stay tuned). Since I didn’t want to leave you guys hanging, I decided to show you what’s currently on my autumn/winter wish list. Brands and prices will be mentioned below, so keep reading!

Monochrome

Hey darlings! I’ve fallen back into my old habit of only wearing black and white… But like I already said, I think my hair colour kinda makes up for that (speaking of hair colour, I honestly have a love/hate relationship with mine). Anyway, I put on Jeffree Star’s liquid lipstick in the color Unicorn Blood to make things look a little bit more interesting, so you can’t blame me for not wearing any colours at all (oh and note my shiny boots)!

Trend spotted // Metallics

Autumn is typically the season where my mood tends to drop and I feel kinda down. It’s rainy and cold, it gets dark early and I simply don’t want to leave my apartment (or my bed – but that’s usually the case whenever I have to get up before 8 am). Although I love getting cosy under blankets, sitting in front of the fireplace and drinking hot chocolate, autumn is by far not my favorite season, and that tends to reflect itself in my choice of clothes. You won’t find anything that’s not black, white or grey in my closet. This year, my go to colors are still the same, but thanks to the current metallics trend, I found a way to spice things up a little!
